Foodtech Pitching Competition @ Y Science 2021

Do you have a solution for a better food system?  This is your chance to get into the Viikki Food Design Factory Germinator programme and pitch your project at Y Science 2021!

Through the program you will have access to:

  • Coaching by dedicated food innovation professionals with expansive experience in many fields

  • Laboratory experimentation and testing facilities at the Viikki campus

  • The chance to pitch your idea during the Foodtech Pitching Competition at Y Science

 

All finalists will meet possible investors, network with potential partners and experts in the fields of their solution, and also get a Slush ticket. The winner will be granted 5,000 euros to take their exciting idea further!

Timeline

  • August: Applications open

  • September 20: Applications close

  • September 27 - October 3: Pitching of selected teams 

  • October 6: Selection of the finalists

  • October 10: Announcement of the finalists

  • October 11: Coaching starts

  • November 26: Final meeting regarding the pitching competition

  • November 30: Dress rehearsal of the pitching competition

  • December 1: Foodtech pitching competition during Y Science

  • December 2 - February 1: Further concept development and prototyping
