COMPETITION
New Materials pitching competition is for Finnish early stage science-based startups and pre-startups utilizing new or re-purposed materials and processes to create a more sustainable future.
It is organized in collaboration of HiLIFE from the University of Helsinki and Aalto University.
All finalists will

receive speaker coaching to prepare their pitch,
-
have the chance to present their idea on the Y Science stage,
-
meet potential investors,
-
network with experts in the fields of their solution, and
-
get a Slush ticket
The winner will be granted 5,000 EUR to take their exciting idea further!
Competition timeline

September 1: Applications open

September 30: Applications close

October 13: Announcement of the finalists

October 24, 14:00 - 16:00: Introduction to pitching

October 25 - November 23: 1-1 pitch coaching

NEW: November 20, 13:30 - 15:00 EET: Public speaking workshop (Helsinki, Finland)

November 24, 12:00 - 13:00: Final meeting regarding the pitching competition

November 29, 15:30 - 18:30: Dress rehearsal of the competition
